Our Radeberger Pilsner and the typical Saxon meals we serve definitely have something in common: when it comes to the ingredients, we set great store by freshness and top quality! Many of the “raw materials” for the delicious dishes following the tradition of simple, hearty cooking come from regional suppliers.
As well as our own brewery, this includes our butcher’s shop, run by a partner business at Schillerplatz, in Dresden. All the meats and meat products we serve at the Radeberger Spezialausschank are made there. The butcher buys goods almost exclusively from selected Saxon farms. With their classic recipes, our cooks then conjure up delicious dishes such as Saxon Sauerbraten, a kind of braised beef.
Of course, our menu cannot go without a sweet temptation. You guessed it! Dresden Eierschecke. Some say this is a rich cake made of quark and an airy egg-based mixture. Others simply praise the heavenly taste! This comes, of course, from our own pastry shop, as do the ice-cream specialities on our menu.
On our drinks menu, as well as coffee specialities and selected Saxon and international wines, we also offer a beer which was once favoured by the King of Saxony: our Radeberger Pilsner. Records do not reveal (though it is easily imaginable!) whether the king also savoured our Radeberger Zwickel, an original, unfiltered beer. This speciality is certainly highly popular among our guests! Read more about our beers and special features at The Pilsner
